Write test

nutter-tools clipboard write test; safe to paste anywhere

Why there is no read test

A clipboard READ test would show whatever you last copied, passwords included. This site's privacy contract forbids any tool from reading your clipboard, so this page deliberately offers no read action; the permission state is still visible on the permissions viewer.

How this test works
  • The write test copies a fixed harmless string through the site's copy service on your click. What lands in your clipboard is exactly that string; nothing of yours is read, kept, or sent.
  • A clipboard READ test would show whatever you last copied, passwords included. This site's privacy contract forbids any tool from reading your clipboard, so this page deliberately offers no read action; the permission state is still visible on the permissions viewer.
  • Write support varies: Chromium grants it for user gestures, Firefox exposes the API but gates read, and older engines lack navigator.clipboard entirely; the unsupported state is named, never faked.
