# Gzip compress and decompress with CRC verification

The signature is read from the bytes. Decompressed output is verified against the trailer (CRC32 and length) before any download appears, gzip is one stream, not a multi-file archive, and concatenated members are refused.

- No timestamps on write, MTIME is pinned to 0 (deterministic output, no leaked dates). The stored FNAME is a naming hint only, never a path.
- No concatenated multi-member streams. A .gz carrying several members fails verification and is refused whole.
- No archives here: one stream in, one stream out. To bundle files use the ZIP or tar tools.
