# Parse any user-agent string

Paste a user-agent string, see the browser, engine, OS, and device it describes, parsed locally by Bowser, with unknown fields named, never guessed.

- Bowser is the parser (MIT): the plan's named choice over ua-parser-js, whose v2 license is AGPL. Its knowledge is frozen at the installed version, shown beside every result.
- A field the string does not carry reads "not recognized": curl agents, gibberish, and reduced mobile strings all honestly return gaps instead of invented rows.
- Versions come from the string as written, a spoofable, sometimes frozen token. The live report tool shows what the browser actually is; this tool shows what the string claims.
- Nothing is sent anywhere: the string never leaves the tab, and pasted agents may describe someone else's device. That is the point of the tool.
Paste, drop, or type to begin. Everything stays on this device.
